China’s Port Carbon Emission Reduction: A Study of Emission-Driven Factors

Ports offer an effective way to facilitate the global economy. However, massive carbon emission during port operating aggravates atmospheric pollution in cities. Capturing characteristics of is vital reduce GHG (greenhouse gas) maritime realm as well achieve China’s neutral objective. In this work, integrated framework proposed for exploring driving factors China ports’ emissions combined with stochastic effects on population, affluence and technology regression (STIRPAT), Global Malmquist-Luenberger (GML) multiple linear (MLR). The efficiency estimated each potential are explored. results indicate that have a strong connection throughput, productivity, containerization intermodal transshipment. It worth noting ratio physical facility fossil-free energy improvement positively correlated emissions. specific value waterborne transshipment shows complex impact dioxide increases. findings reveal authorities need improve develop transportation; meanwhile, it responsible update use ways minimize proportion non-green consumption accordance optimizing operation management including peak shaving intelligent systems under new horizon clean automatic equipment.
